Hum bhi agar bachhe hote…

Had a bad night. Unwanted, unwarranted, misleading and misunderstood argument with a friend, hurtful words, unintended meanings stifling the air around me! Nearly sleepless night…. grubby morning, cloudy weather, Monday!
Made a fake cheery presence to my mom, and headed towards the auto stand… 3 buses full of kids, probably on their way to a picnic pull over near the traffic signal, and out of nowhere, the whole bunch of kids lined up near the windows called out and a medley of “TaTa!!” “Good Morning”, “Anna!! Hiiiiiii” rang out! And suddenly it all seemed okie. 🙂

Why is it so tough for us to be child like? Simple… uncomplicated… and contended?

Read this thought a little while ago …. " I want to go back to the times: When "DRINKING" meant 'Apple Juice'… When father was the only "HERO"… When "Love" was Mom's Hug… When the only thing that could Hurt were 'Skinned Knees'… When the only thing "Broken" were 'Toys/ Cricket Bats'… When Goodbye only meant till Tomorrow !!! " ….. thought this would fit in well here.

Childhood is not without angst. I'm sure there have been innumerable moments when you have thought "I can't wait to be an adult". Of course the reasons might now seem silly (like not being able to reach the cookie jar), but at that age they were very good reasons. Who is to say that if we were somehow magically transported back to childhood, we wouldn't behave in the exact same way?

    Dear Praveen,
Reading this now as i know you since few days…….

Yes we should have been kids for ever!!!We would not have seen the wicked mind behind the sweet smiles ! Hugs would have been more warmer than smotherings
Love in Hearts would have remained elixir than the death traps !!!
wish I were to be a child to those sweet smiles, warm hugs, pure love…..
    Regards
    Shantala.
